With 14+ years of experience across higher education, national nonprofits, and consulting, she brings a practical, results-oriented approach to development strategy and organizational capacity-building.

Prior to launching Poppy Strategic Consulting, Maryann held senior development roles where she secured seven-figure gifts and served as a strategic advisor to nonprofit executives and boards. She began her career as a collegiate coach and Division I rower at George Washington University, where she earned Atlantic 10 First Team All-Conference honors, experiences that shape her collaborative approach to consulting today.
